-major in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology (NBB) and Computer Science. Her favorite part of being a part of Synapse is having the opportunity to design websites as well as being involved in an inclusive community full of members with an interest in traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Meet Erica Chen! She's a sophomore at Emory University pursing a double major in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology (NBB), and Psychology. Her favorite part of being in Synapse is the relationships fostered not only with individuals with TBI, but students who share a similar passion with her.

Meet Jonathan Zhang! He is a Junior at Emory University pursuing a double major in Biology and Classical Civilization. When asked about his favorite part about Emory Synapse he said, “Being able to connect with and learn from individuals with TBI and members!”

Meet Claire Kwon! She is a freshman at Emory University pursuing a major in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology (NBB). She is excited to start off her first semester working with Emory Synapse to support patients with TBI and being a part of a large community of passionate people to advocate and serve with!

Meet Drew Lawless! He is a Junior at Emory University pursuing a double major in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology (NBB). When asked about his favorite part about Emory Synapse he said, “Being able to introduce new club members to all of the amazing TBI partners that we get to spend time with over the semester/year!”

Meet Justin Hahm! He's a junior at Emory University pursuing a double major in Biology and Economics. When asked about his favorite part about Emory Synapse he said, "the larger community we are able to service and advocate for even at the undergraduate level!"

Meet Maylynn Hu! She's a senior at Emory University pursuing a major in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology (NBB). Her favorite part of being a part of Synapse is forming relationships with our TBI members through peer support meetings, and when she’s not in the lab, you can probably find her at a Chinese restaurant somewhere eating spicy food.”

Emma Macmanus
Co- Vice President of Peer Support

Meet Emma Macmanus! Emma is a Junior at Emory University pursuing a double major in Psychology and Dance and Movement Studies. Her favorite part of Emory Synapse is being a part of the TBI patient community, fostering empathetic conversation and friendship. She loves sharing these experiences with her Synapse team and general Emory community. You can find her dancing, going on walks around campus, or doing yoga.

Meet Dania Xiang! She's a freshman at Emory University, pursuing a major in Biology. Her favorite part of being a member of Emory Synapse is organizing peer support events with TBI members. You can probably find her at a musical rehearsal, playing the Pipa.

Vice President of Outreach

Meet Marlon! He is a Junior at Emory University pursuing a Neuroscience & Behavioral Biology (NBB) and a minor in Business. When asked about his favorite part of Emory Synapse, he said, " the opportunity to learn and teach others about individuals with traumatic brain injuries. I like how the club aims to reduce the stigma surrounding these individuals and provides a space for greater understanding.

Meet Stephanie Hong! She is a Junior at Emory University pursuing a major in Neuroscience and Behavioral Science (NBB) and a minor in Ethics. Her favorite part about being involved in Emory Synapse is being able to be in a community where we can hold higher levels of discussion and increase exposure on neuroscience within Emory's campus, as well as individuals with traumatic brain injuries.
